Funerals

A funeral is naturally a sad occasion and a time for mourning; however, I believe it can also be an occasion where we can create time and space to honour and celebrate the life of a person.

I meet with family and listen sensitively to stories, gathering information to capture the character and nature of the deceased. We’ll talk about the type of ceremony you might prefer, either religious, non-religious or maybe something in between.

I have lots of short readings and meaningful poems to give you some ideas of what you might like to include to ensure your loved one is at the heart of the event.

Prior to the ceremony, I will liaise with the Funeral Director to ensure the order of service and the music you have chosen are prepared, and I’ll be available for any queries you may have. On the day, I will lead the ceremony and support any family and friends who may be taking part.

As a professionally trained funeral celebrant and a member of the Association of Independant Celebrants, I offer the highest level of care and support at this difficult time.

‘I just wanted to say thank you. You made a difficult day a little more bearable. Everyone said how good you were at capturing the spirit of my Dad….’

‘Thank you Liz, truly beautiful, honest and heartfelt. It’s exactly what we wanted…’
